Beds were great. Everything was very clean.
Breakfast was very limited on what was available at any given time. 1 sausage. No eggs.
On our very long family road trip we've been driving until we can't and then finding a quick cheap room wherever we are. Of the 5 places we've stayed this place was all around the best! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and the staff outstanding!!
The hotel was pretty clean and has a pool (full of leaves and dirt) and jacuzzi (empty), but it wasn't our favorite Best Western. The fan would not go to any level but high so you either got blown away all night or roasted with no fan. The bed was fine, harder than we like but it worked. The breakfast was below average, no fruit and had to ask for yogurt. Attendant not friendly like other hotels. Again, OK for a night's rest, not my favorite. BTW, do not pay extra for the Jacuzzi tub room, the jets are so low that you can barely feel them. No way to turn up.
This was my first time at a Best Western. Celebrating my birthday, with a quiet getaway from the stress of the big city. From day 1 at registration to day 4 on departure this hotel staff was totally Amazing. They truly go out of their way to make sure everything was as pleasant as possible. Best customer service I have had from a hotel. From the wonderful housekeeping staff, who made sure I had everything needed in my room. The nice lady, who prepared a great breakfast, greeted you with a wonderful Good Morning to start out the day. Big Plus. ALL of the Front Desk Clerks where Outstanding from arrival to departure. Very accommodating, friendly, very helpful just plain nice. So perfect coming from the attitude problems of the city. This hotel TRULY has the Nicest staff I have ever seen. Seriously. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable & homey. I have absolutely NO complaints about this hotel. Will DEFINITELY be staying here again. Kudos to This hotel and ALL of her staff.
I'm typically not a hotel snob but in this case I am not pleased. I have stayed at several best western plus hotels frequently traveling for work but this is the first time I have stayed at this bwp in Schulenburg. First thing I noticed was that the a.c. unit was broken. So with a Google lookup I learned how to fix it. Went to take a shower. And it was dirty, the toilet bowl was also dirty as well. Not a huge ordeal. But I twist the shower on and the head is broken and most of the water is running down the wall and not out of the shower head. It's now 10:20 and I crawl into bed and a baby cockroach is crawling on the wall behind the t.v. Everything in this room (309) is covered in dust I figured with an average rating of 4.2 on Google I couldn't go wrong. Hopefully your cleaning and maintenance staff does a better job in the future.
Handicap rooms should be on ground level. They should have non slip easy entry bathing area. Should also have more safety bars than one in bathing area.
